I graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Midwifery degree. My journey to becoming a midwife was a little bit long and winding, but I like to think that the life experiences I’ve had along the way have only increased my capacity for compassion and empathy, as well as my understanding of what is most supportive through pregnancy, birth and after babe arrives.
I wholeheartedly believe my clients are the best decision makers when it comes to what is best for their health and their families and that each person has the right to make informed choices about their care. My goal will always be to provide our clients with the information that they need to make these decisions in a respectful, sensitive manner and to help support an empowering birth experience, which of course might look very different from person to person.
On a more personal note, I have four great kiddos- two girls and two boys. I love to be outside, away from the busyness of the city whenever I can manage it. I enjoy reading, walking, yoga and a little drawing and painting… none of which I ever seem to find as much time for as I would like!
I’m really happy to be a part of the Briar Hill team. I truly love this work and feel so fortunate and grateful to be able to support families during this powerful and important time in their lives.
