I have always believed in the timeless wisdom of a birthing person. I trust that they are able to make the decisions that are right for them and their growing
family. My midwifery heart is rooted firmly in educating and empowering clients to make autonomous choices, supported by evidence-based health care.
My journey to this career began when I gravitated towards midwifery care as a young woman in my first pregnancy. I knew from my first appointment that midwifery was what I’d do with my life.
After my daughters were born in 2002 and 2004, I pursued life as a doula to dip my toes into the pool of labour and birth support, education, and care. Years spent on winding paths of growth and change, navigated by drive and passion, culminated in graduation from Mount Royal University’s Bachelor of Midwifery program in 2016.
A large part of my passion is tied to caring for people through every aspect of pregnancy. Sometimes the unexpected can happen and it’s important to me that my clients know I will walk with them through conception, through loss, through pregnancy, postpartum and all the moments in-between.
I’m blessed, every day, with the opportunity to partner with clients for health, safety, and connection. I love that this is my life, and look forward to helping people give birth with intention.
