I was born and raised in Calgary, AB and am a 2022 graduate from Mount Royal University’s Bachelor of Midwifery program. I am beyond excited to be working with the Briar Hill Midwives alongside my friend and colleague Ashlyn Doyle.
Midwifery holds a very unique and cherished place in my heart. It allows me the great privilege of supporting individuals and families through their transformative pregnancy, birth and postpartum journeys by providing personalized, client-centred, compassionate care. The midwifery approach supports my personal values and beliefs of embracing informed-choice and evidence-based care, which I believe aids in liberating and empowering individuals to take control and hold autonomy over their own pregnancy and health journeys.
Prior to midwifery, I worked as a birth doula serving Calgary and surrounding areas. Through this, I provided prenatal, labour/birth and postpartum education/support to a wide variety of individuals and families. I also have professional experience in working with addictions, mental health, trauma informed care and harm reduction. I am extremely passionate about these topics and aim to incorporate my education of such within the midwifery setting.
Outside of midwifery I enjoy making earrings and dipping my toes into other artistic endeavours, camping, gardening, and spending time with my pets, friends and family.
I look forward to being able to support and walk alongside you on your journey!
